Your swing will change, your accuracy and distance will improve with practice, and you’ll become deadly
with a putter, but you will always do these things while standing on your feet. Your feet need to be comfortable! Have you ever developed a blister while walking or running? It’s all you can think about and it ruins the experience. Don’t
let uncomfortable shoes ruin your golf game. This is one area where you shouldn’t let your frugality make the decision for you. You will bewearing these shoes many times and they should be considered an investment.
Comfort should be your biggest concern when buying shoes. Your foot should not move at all on your heel when you walk, yet your toes shouldn’t feel cramped. Have you shoes professional fit to your feet and walk around in them before you buy them.
Proper golf shoes should be waterproof so that your feet remain dry in damp conditions. Good socks are important too; they will wick perspiration away from you feet, keeping your feet dry and comfortable. All golf courses prohibit metal spiked shoes in the effort to protect their delicate greens. Purchase shoes that allow you to change the rubber spikes easily, and while you’re there, purchase some extras. You never know when you might lose one. Replace the
spikes when they become worn.
With all the things you have to worry about while playing golf, your feet shouldn’t be one of them. When
it comes to golf footwear, quality counts.

Golf etiquette is basically the rules and manners of the game that every golfer must know and observed. It is therefore important that you understand the basic etiquette before you play your first round of golf.
First and foremost you must put on the correct golf attire. You should wear the proper golf shoes, slacks and shirt. You must also observe the local club rules about attire.
A group of players playing together is known as a flight. One flight consists of between a single player to a maximum of four. You normally start your game on the first Tee Box. You must wait for your turn before you start playing. You will normally be informed by the starter when you can tee off.
While playing, you must always be observant of the flight in front of you. Wait until they are well ahead before hitting your ball. Do not rush your game as you may be “pushing” them . At the same time you must maintain a reasonable speed as not to slow down the game of the flight behind you.
There are also etiquette that has to be observed among members of your flight. When on the fairway, the player that has his ball furthest away from the green will be hitting first. Thus you have to wait for your turn. Never hit your ball at the same time as other member of your flight.
While waiting for your turn, you can plan your strategy. Estimate the distance of your ball from the green, choose the appropriate club to use and visualize where you want your ball to land. When your turn comes, you just execute the shot without wasting time or delaying the whole game.
If you think that your flight is holding back the flight behind you, it is a good practice to allow them to overtake you. You can indicate by waving them through or ask them if they would like to overtake. In this situation, both parties will have an enjoyable game.
When someone is making a shot, you should be behind them and should stay still. Do not make any noise as you may be distracting his concentration.
It is always the responsibilities of all players to keep the golf course in good condition. So much so that you must repair all divots that you make on the fairway. If your ball make a deep impression when it lands on the green, use your tool to repair it.
As soon as you have completed a hole, replace the flag and leave the green so that the next players can play.
Count your score and write it on the scorecard.
There are many more golf etiquette that you will learn along the way. These simple ones will be able to carry you through your initial golf game without annoying other players. Observe these basic golf etiquette and it will make your game more enjoyable.
